Angels & Kings

It’s no secret that Cheeky loves Angels & Kings. They seem to love us, too. We’ve thrown two (insanely successful) events there in the last year (New Year’s Eve 2009 and A Tongue in Cheeky Halloween Party) and we’ve got another event coming up in a couple of weeks. (Keep reading.) On any given night of the week, aside from seeing a packed house full of eclectic Chicago party-goers, your chances of catching Cheeky Health Freak Kelli Zink or co-founder Jessica Zweig partying it up with the AK team are pretty high.

Why the affection? Could it be the amazing DJs they seem to host every night of the week? Or is it the hot, hot, hot industry party they throw every Monday night? Perhaps it’s their happening live-music Wednesdays, showcasing the city’s hottest indie bands? Maybe it’s their super stiff cocktails? Or is it the super-cool, down-to-earth owners and staff consisting of Stephen Westman, Matt Eisler, Ryan Hicks and Jessica Murane? We think it’s the killer-combo of all of the above that has made A&K Chicago’s hottest nightlife destination. (It was voted “ Bar of the Year” by TimeOut Chicago, among other accolades.) Angels & Kings is a perfect blend between a low-key lounge and a happening dance party, mixed with a hipster vibe in a River North locale sans the pretention. No wonder celebs like Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson, Catt Sadler, The Plain White T’s and Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson flock here like moths to a flame. (Wentz is also part-owner which definitely helps with the A-List appeal.)

Jump on the Cheeky-AK obsession bandwagon on December 31^st. Cheeky hosts “A Very Cheeky New Year’s Eve 2010” with our favorite scene-sters, bar owners, friends and hopefully…all of you.
