Ringing in the New Year, Hollywood Style

Where the Stars Will Be This NYE by kim peiffer 12/30/2009

When the clock strikes midnight on December 31st, you better believe Hollywood’s finest will be throwing a few back at some of the swankiest places in the world.

Chicago, sadly enough, is not on their radar. But cities like Vegas and New York City will be chock-full-of celebrities – many of whom are paid mucho dinero to make an appearance at their club on New Year’s Eve.

Las Vegas: Over at LAX at the Luxor in Vegas is where you’ll find the Black Eyed Peas (who are hosting the evening). And over at Tao in the Venetian, Christina Aguilera will host a big New Year’s bash. Down the street at Lavo, you’ll find Nicole Richie and Joel Madden working their hosting magic. Eva Longoria doesn’t want to miss out on the fun either, so she’ll be rocking and rolling at her own joint, Eve Nightclub, at the City Center. And Chicago’s own Pete Wentz will choose Vegas over Chicago when he hosts a bash at Jet inside the Mirage hotel.

New York: It isn’t New Year’s Eve without a little love from Times Square, and this year boasts a celebrity crew just like every other. Both Jennifer Lopez and Chris Daughtry will perform live from Times Square on December 31st, all part of the age-old Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2010 on ABC. Melissa Rycroft will be a part of the celebration as well and will report on the happenings around town. The show will also satellite in some of the aforementioned parties in Vegas, happening live from the Aria at City Center (including the Black Eyed Peas, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Colbie Caillat, Orianthi, and Robin Thicke).

No matter where you celebrate tomorrow, Happy New Year’s to all, and bring on the bubbly!
